Husband and wife Cheryl and Peter Barnes live near Washington, D.C., where Peter is anchor/reporter for CNBC, NBC's business and financial channel. They were featured during Literary Adventure on October 17-18, 1996 and at WordPlay Saturday on October 19, 1996. The Barnes are founders and owners of Vacation Spot Publishing, which publishes children's books which feature characters who take children on a trip to a special place. Cheryl was author and illustrator of Alexander, the Old Town Mouse, a tour of Old Town Alexandria (VA). They collaborated on Woodrow: The White House Mouse, which teaches about the presidency and the White House, published in 1995. Their new book, House Mouse, Senate Mouse teaches about the Capitol and how laws are made. Cheryl Barnes was a visiting author at NOVELLO 1995.
