The Other Diabetes: Living and Eating Well with Type 2 Diabetes Elizabeth Hiser |
The Other Diabetes: Living and Eating Well with Type 2 Diabetes is a guide to understanding and managing the most common, yet least understood type of diabetes. Elizabeth Hiser, who as a researcher has been involved with numerous diabetic studies, presents the results on the most recent research on nutrition and exercise. Because nutrition is so important in the management of diabetes, The Other Diabetes offers suggested menus and healthy mouth watering recipes for snacks, entrees, soups, salads, side dishes and desserts. Many of the recipes such as the "Vegetable Antipasto," "Artichoke Hearts & Caramelized Onions," "Crab Cakes," and "Mediterranean Fish Bake" are easy to make, healthy, and very tasty.
An excellent book for anyone interested interested in learning about the latest health research, especially those interested in Type 2 Diabetes. |
